For the Measuring My World project my partner and I have agreed on choosing an object where we wouldn't struggle too much on or either finish right away like a piece of cake. We chose to find the dimensions of my school binder without papers inside of it.
The process of finding the dimensions for this item was something my partner and I found very interesting and a bit simple. We used like around 2/3 formulas to find the exact measurements for our item. To find the diagonal I used d=2a and for the perimeter i used the formula P=4a.
For the outcome of this project my partner and I were happy with what we produced in the process of finding the measurements and our work with the solutions showing how we got our answers. A habit of a mathematician that we used was "Take apart and put back together" because we were to take apart the measurements and then put back with a solution and answer.
